Isla niezgodaCo-Founder/Producing Director
Isla Niezgoda grew up dancing in Minneapolis where she trained in many styles of dance with a focus on rhythm tap. She joined Keane Sense of Rhythm Youth Tap Ensemble in 2004 and was a founding member of the Keane Sense of Rhythm Young Professional Company. Since then, Isla has earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences and Spanish Studies as well as a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Isla has had the opportunity to study tap dance under Lane Alexander, Jason Samuels Smith, Jason Janas, Dianne “Lady Di” Walker, Sam Weber, Sarah Reich and many more masters at festivals around the country. She has performed around the United States as well as abroad and has been teaching both competition and recreational tap dance since 2010 at dance studios in Minnesota, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Additionally, Isla has instructed tap dance at the collegiate level at Emerson College and co-founded Fourth Dimension Tap Company, a non-profit with the mission of creating new works, engaging audiences, and extending the reach of tap dance to the community at large. Isla currently teaches tap dance at Joanne Langione Dance Center in Newton, Massachusetts to students aged 5 through 18.
