Kaylee Brosco is a Rhode Island resident and has been dancing for over fourteen years. She
recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College in Franklin, MA. There, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in dance with a secondary focus in business. At Dean, Kaylee honed her knowledge and skills in a variety of dance styles including jazz, ballet, contemporary and, of course, tap. Her dedication to tap has helped students appreciate the art form and build a new following for the style. Her college studies included the history of various dance styles, musicality and composition to enhance her knowledge and understanding of the different genres. She’s had the opportunity to study dance under the direction of instructors such as Jill Silverman, Kristina Berger, Thelma Goldberg and Ryan Kasprzak, all of whom have successful dance careers. She was a member of Dean College’s Loose Screws Tap Team, an audition-based team for advanced tap dancers. The group performed in multiple campus shows, sporting events and even at Gillette Stadium, home to the New England Patriots. She recently was chosen from a large group of Dean students to spend two weeks of the summer interning at the Boston Ballet School, where she will be shadowing their instructors and helping assist classes. She has been a dance instructor for several years and has studied dance pedagogy for both children and adults. Currently, she teaches at Shooting Stars School of Dance in Seekonk, MA, where her students, ages two through adult, are introduced to all different dance styles and skill levels. She teaches and choreographs for both recreational and competitive dance classes. She is very excited to continue tapping, post college, with Fourth Dimension Tap Company! |
