Thara Abdallah is a Worcester native who grew up training in all styles of dance but found a profound love for tap. She tapped competitively starting at six years old and went on to
receive special recognition around New England. Under the instruction of Tee Minton Jr and Nikki Barris Thara’s education in tap focused on hoofing and rhythm tap, much inspired by the greats - Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. During high school, Thara expanded her tap education by studying under greats such as Demi Remick, Anthony Locasio and more. She also attended the Boston Tap Party’s youth residency program hosted by Deborah Mason in the summer of 2022. Now as a full time college student, Thara continues to train in tap while also sharing her knowledge as a tap instructor at Jo Ann Warren Studio. She is excited to continue this role as an educator and share her love of tap with as many people as she can.
